Started in August 97 by Martin Lonsdale. Having worked in the Insurance industry since 1974. I set up my own Insurance Agency in 1991 serving the people of Bradford but mainly focusing on the North side of Bradford. With the changes in the way insurance is being bought by the general public by telephone, direct with insurers, along with mergers of insurers, it became increasingly obvious that my business would have to diversify.

After discussions with a friendly solicitor, retired Estate Agent and retired Chartered Surveyor, my business branched out into Estate Agency and Property Management. Commencing with property management, slowly my business evolved and instructions for selling started to grow during 1998 and 1999.

Since 1997 my business is now firmly established providing sales and lettings for the North of Bradford. I was one of the first independent agents in Bradford to establish an internet site and by showing my www.lonsdales-estates.co.uk on my 'for sale' boards, this increased awareness of my company.

I have a part-time lady called Julie who is an expert on mortgage advice having worked for a leading Building Society Head Office authorised at Head Office level to provide funds.

This year my business has also expanded its services, by introducing financial services by linking up with a firm of Independent Financial Advisers.
